Candy Flynn

Candy Flynn, RICP, or Retirement Income Certified Professional, is a financial advisor serving individuals and families throughout New York’s Capital Region, including Albany, Saratoga, Schenectady, Niskayuna, Latham, Clifton Park, Malta, and surrounding communities. She specializes in retirement planning, Wealth management, Medicare planning and health plan guidance for people approaching retirement and those already enjoying their retirement years.

With experience in the financial services industry since 2007, Candy helps clients coordinate the many financial and healthcare decisions that come with retirement. Her approach brings together retirement income planning, investments and wealth management, Social Security, Medicare, required minimum distributions (RMDs), tax-conscious planning, and long-term care considerations.

Candy believes Medicare and healthcare decisions should be considered as part of a client’s broader retirement strategy. By understanding each client’s individual circumstances, priorities, and goals, she helps them evaluate their options and understand how healthcare costs, retirement income, Social Security, investments, and other financial decisions can affect the bigger retirement picture.

Her goal is simple: make retirement planning feel clear, personal, and manageable. Candy works to help clients make informed decisions, avoid unnecessary surprises, and feel more confident about their financial future. She values long-term relationships and strives to be a trusted resource clients can turn to as their financial and healthcare needs evolve throughout retirement.

Candy began her career helping individuals and families navigate Medicare and retirement planning. After starting with Equitable Advisors, she expanded her licensing and education to provide clients with a more comprehensive approach to retirement planning and wealth management. She later earned the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP) designation, further developing her expertise in the financial challenges and opportunities people face before and during retirement.

In addition to working one-on-one with clients, Candy hosts educational seminars on Medicare, Social Security, retirement income planning, and other important retirement decisions. Her focus is on education; helping people better understand their options so they can make decisions that fit their individual circumstances and long-term goals.

Originally from Kansas, Candy moved to upstate New York as a young adult and quickly fell in love with the Northeast, especially the changing seasons. She currently lives in Niskayuna and enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her two Asian leopard Bengal cats, Axl and Kai. She also loves being on the water whenever possible; especially now that she’s no longer being chased around by tornadoes.
